FIFRA Courses

Priority in FIFRA compliance training is given to:

  • Training of management concerning determining what is a pesticide and addressing issues such as those EPA raised in its March 2010 fact sheet on determining if a cleaning product is a pesticide; trade secrets and recordkeeping; and storage, transportation, and disposal requirements;
  • Training of sales and customer service departments on adverse effects reporting, including EPA’s recent use of FIFRA Section 6(a)(2) to obtain information concerning nanomaterials used in pesticide products;
  • Training of sales and marketing departments on the scope of permissible claims for pesticide products and devices, and addressing changes proposed in EPA’s draft Pesticide Registration Notice concerning “False or Misleading Pesticide Product Brand Names”; and
  • Training of laboratory departments on formulating, shipping, importing, and exporting of pesticides and devices, as well as unregistered research and development (R&D) pesticides.
