Michael S. Wenk, Expert on South American and Middle Eastern Chemical Regulatory Programs, Joins Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. and The Acta Group

Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. (B&C®) and The Acta Group (Acta®) are pleased to announce that Michael S. Wenk, M.S., has joined our teams as Senior Regulatory Consultant. Mr. Wenk has managed global regulatory affairs and product stewardship divisions at Fortune 500 chemical and chemical product companies for over 20 years and is an internationally-recognized expert in chemical registration and regulation in Central and South America, and the Middle East. With a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from Rutgers University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, Mr. Wenk possesses an exceptionally broad understanding of international chemical regulatory programs as well as a nuanced understanding of corporate operations and business procedures, acumen he will deploy to assist clients in achieving global regulatory compliance and business success in a competitive marketplace.

Mr. Wenk offers clients particular expertise in categories including food contact substances, biocides and pesticides, fertilizers, oil and mining chemicals, and pulp and paper products; in regulatory programs including the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), and the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA), among others; and in regulatory due diligence for chemical companies involved in mergers and acquisitions.

His publications include chapters on Central America, Mexico, and South America in Global Chemical Control Handbook: A Guide To Chemical Management Programs (ABA 2014), and Chemical Control Regulation in the Middle East, to be published late in 2016 by John Wiley and Sons, Ltd. He has both chaired and presented sessions at a wide variety of regulatory conferences in Belgium, China, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and the United States.
