Bergeson regarding the Government Accountability Office’s (GAO) recent report regarding the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) management of nanomaterials. Bergeson disagrees with GAO’s suggestion that nanomaterials are “flooding the market,” comments on EPA’s use of Section 6(a)(2) of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) to obtain information regarding the presence of nanomaterials in registered pesticide products, and discusses the legislative proposals to reform the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
