The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) 2014 revisions to its Notice of Arrival (NOA) form (EPA Form 3540-1), coupled with EPA's increasing scrutiny of pesticide imports, indicate that this is an issue of growing interest to EPA and could result in a rise of enforcement cases or, at a minimum, business disruption for shipments that are refused entry. Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. hosted a complimentary webinar highlighting recent developments and steps for importers to take to ensure compliance and avoid potential enforcement.
The SOT Annual Meeting provided in-depth coverage of toxicology, covering the diverse areas of science that toxicology encompasses. The meeting was the venue for toxicologists to learn about the scientific advances that have taken place over the past 12 months. J. Brian Xu, M.D., Ph.D., DABT® , B&C Toxicologist, attended.
Lynn L. Bergeson spoke on Monday, March 23, 2015 as part of the Presidential Symposium on Nanotechnology, “Nanotechnology: Delivering on the Promise – Opportunities and Challenges for Health, Safety and the Environment (HSE).” Ms. Bergeson’s presentation, “The Regulatory Void,” surveyed the governance approaches that were emerging, with particular emphasis on the need for regulatory measures in targeted areas to ensure the integrity of core governance principles and provide some measure of commercial predictability.
