TSCA Reform Implementation Seminar: Impacts and Best Practices for the New Chemicals Law, February 7, 2018, Lansing, Michigan

The Michigan Chemistry Council presented a unique and valuable seminar, featuring top-notch experts and a panel of chemical and automotive sector practitioners, that offered insights into the impacts of TSCA reform as well as best practices for your company or clients to successfully navigate the challenges of new regulations. Lynn L. Bergeson, Managing Partner of Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. (B&C®), presented on TSCA implementation and upcoming activities as the keynote speaker.  The first 20 in-person registrants also received a complimentary copy of “New TSCA: A Guide to the Lautenberg Chemical Safety Act and Its Implementation,” authored and edited by Ms. Bergeson and Charles M. Auer, Senior Regulatory and Policy Advisor at B&C, and co-authored by other members of B&C’s outstanding TSCA practice group.

(B&C®) and Bloomberg BNA were pleased to present “Chemical Regulation in 2018: A Sneak Preview of Things to Come,” the first webinar in the B&C/Bloomberg BNA 2018 Chemical Policy Summit Series. Participants joined us for a focused discussion, featuring Nancy B. Beck, Ph.D., a top EPA Administration leader, of priorities that faced EPA’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP), focusing on Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) implementation issues and many hot topics in the pesticide area including Endangered Species Act (ESA) and Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) issues including glyphosate, pollinators, and much more.

The American Law Institute (ALI) and the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) presented “Environmental Law 2018,” a two day course for lawyers and environmental professionals covering key developments in our natural resources, climate, chemical, and endangered species law, as well as what is ahead from the Supreme Court and under the current Administration and Congress. Lynn L. Bergeson, Managing Partner of Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. (B&C®), presented “TSCA, FIFRA, and Chemical Regulation: Federal and State Perspectives.”

Where Do We Stand on Alternative Testing? Looking back and peering forward, February 20-21, 2018, Los Angeles, California

The University of California Center for Environmental Implications of Nanotechnology (UC CEIN) presented “Where Do We Stand on Alternative Testing? Looking back and peering forward,” a two-day workshop bringing together opinion leaders to discuss the past decade of nano-government. Lynn L. Bergeson, Managing Partner at Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. (B&C®), participated. 

AsiaHub Summit USA 2018, February 26-27, 2018, San Francisco, California

Chemical Watch presented “AsiaHub Summit USA 2018,” bringing together experts on China, Taiwan, South Korea, Thialand, and Vietnam to provide updates on recent regulatory developments. Brian Xu, M.D., Ph.D., DABT®, toxicologist with Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. (B&C®), presented “Forecast of China, USA, and EU Chemical Regulation in 2018.”
