ChemCon Presentation on Global Nanoscale Governance and Initiatives Now Available

Bergeson & Campbell, P.C.

“Chemical data is the new currency globally,” said Lynn L. Bergeson during a session on REACH at ChemCon The Americas December 5, 2012, during which Ms. Bergeson took attendees through the latest global initiatives involving diverse aspects of nanoscale materials. As reported in ChemCon Daily, her presentation “provoked questions about how to prevent companies using data that they do not own for purposes other than that for which it was originally submitted. There are many potential pitfalls for companies that do not carefully address their rights to use data e.g. REACH letters of access do not always give permission to use data in other jurisdictions. The potential for disputes is increasing, she said, because ‘[c]hemical data is the new currency globally.’” To receive a copy of Ms. Bergeson’s presentation, contact chad.howlin@lawbc.com.
