The Environmental Law Institute (ELI), the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health, and Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. (B&C®) were pleased to announce the fifth annual conference providing updates and insights regarding the current state of TSCA implementation, ongoing and emerging issues, and related developments. Topics included how EPA is implementing Section 6 risk evaluation provisions, changes in new chemical review, existing chemical risk management provisions, and TSCA’s role in achieving environmental justice, among other topics. Join the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) and Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. (B&C®), for a Virtual Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Hot Topics Regulatory Workshop. The workshop was held in two-hour interactive online sessions August 11-13, 2020, and presented by regulatory experts from B&C, including Managing Partner Lynn L. Bergeson, Director of Chemistry Richard Engler, Ph.D., and Senior Regulatory Consultant Kathleen Roberts. The workshop began with a review of TSCA and covered current hot topics including Significant New Use Rules (SNURs), the high-priority chemical risk evaluations and industry fees, Chemical Data Reporting (CDR), and more. Participants were able to ask questions of the presenters following each topic. At the end of the workshop, participants joined break-out rooms divided by topic to discuss what was learned and share their experiences.

"Understanding Pesticide Regulation and the 9th circuit Dicamba Decision," presented by the American Agricultural Law Association (AALA), provided an overview of pesticide regulation and registrations in the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), the recent amended registrations for over-the-top (OTT) uses of dicamba, and the potential impacts of the recent 9th Circuit Court of Appeals decision in National Family Farm Coalition v. The webinar addressed Safety Data Sheets, Consent Order provisions, as well as Significant New Use Restrictions (SNUR) conditions under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
