RILA’s Retail Compliance Center and Lynn Bergeson, Managing Partner, Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. (B&C®) presented "TSCA: It Is Not What You May Think." For decades, the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) has been regarded as a “chemical producer” law that retailers, product manufacturers, and other “article” manufacturers could, for the most part, comfortably ignore. Not anymore. TSCA was significantly amended in 2016, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s implementation of “new TSCA” has drawn many, often unsuspecting, entities in the value chain -- including retailers -- squarely into TSCA’s broad reach. The “new normal” may not be what you want, but this webinar told you what you needed to know.
