The International Bar Association (IBA) Annual Conference was open to both members and non-members of the IBA, with lawyers from over 130 jurisdictions and all parts of the legal profession attending, including lawyers in private practice, in-house counsel, human rights advocates, judges, bar leaders, regulators and government representatives. Utilising the contributions of the Committee on World Food Security Principles for Responsible Investment in Agriculture and Food Systems (CFS RAI Principles) and the Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance on Tenure (VGGT), attendees gained a better understanding of their application in everyday legal work related to investments in agriculture for the African region.
