TSCA Reform Panel Summit: What’s Happening Now, and What’s Next?

November 19, 2015
12:00 – 1:30 p.m. (EST)
In-person and via Webcast

Betting on passage by Congress of Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) reform is anything but a sure thing. While most remain optimistic, with each passing day the window of opportunity is narrowed. One possibility is that some version of the bipartisan Senate bill is passed, and we prepare for the challenging road ahead as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grapples with the demands of implementation. Another possibility is that TSCA reform is not enacted this year or before the 2016 Presidential election, and life as we know it goes on. Either scenario poses challenges, opportunities, and risks for EPA, the industrial chemical community, their downstream customers, and all of those impacted by chemical regulation.

Who better to discuss these possibilities, TSCA reform, and EPA implementation than two former Assistant Administrators, George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health Dean Lynn R. Goldman, M.D., M.S., M.P.H. and Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. (B&C®) Senior Government Consultant James V. Aidala. These EPA alumni will cover a wide range of law, process, and administrative issues over a 75-minute panel discussion moderated by Lynn L. Bergeson, with a 15-minute question and answer period for audience members at the conclusion.
