European Union REACH Activities, Responsibilities, and Enforcement Webinar / June 27, 2012 10:00 a.m
The Acta Group, Bergeson & Campbell, P.C.’s consulting affiliate, will convene a complimentary webinar on the ongoing responsibilities of registrants and authorities within the European Union (EU) under the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) legislation (EC 1907/2006) on June 27, 2012. The second major registration deadline of May 31, 2013, quickly approaches, and the regulatory responsibilities of commercial entities continue to expand. Similarly, enforcing authorities are enhancing their enforcement strategies and tools in preparation for the next round of REACH registration dossiers. REACH enforcement is on the rise, and compliance responsibilities continue to expand. This webinar will focus on enforcement experiences from the first registration deadline and provide practical pointers for companies that either have not yet registered during the first deadline or that have registered and now wish to become more involved with Substance Information Exchange Forum (SIEF) and Lead Registrant (LR) activities. The Acta Group is pleased to welcome as a participant Mr. Mike Potts, the United Kingdom (UK) Member State Competent Authority, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), who will outline the responsibilities of the UK HSE regarding enforcement and inspections, and present case studies to assist companies in marshaling supporting data to assist in the inspection process. A question and answer session will follow. More specific detail oriented webinars will be provided as a follow-up as requested.
