SCCS Considers HAA299 (Nano) Safe When Used as a UV Filter in Dermally Applied Cosmetic Products up to Ten Percent

The Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) published its final opinion on HAA299 (nano) on November 25, 2021. The European Commission (EC) asked SCCS whether HAA299 (nano) is considered safe when used as an ultraviolet (UV) filter in cosmetic products up to a maximum concentration of ten percent.
