On September 29, 2018, Lynn L. Bergeson, Managing Partner, Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. (B&C®), and President-Elect of the Product Stewardship Society (PSS) moderated the closing session, “Drivers of Product Stewardship: The Role of Regulations, Private Governance, and Managing,” at the 2018 Product Stewardship Conference in Washington D.C. The closing session featured Nancy Beck, Ph.D., DABT, Deputy Assistant Administrator, Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Christopher Cassell, Director of Corporate Sustainability, Lowe’s, discussing timely and relevant issues, including how the new Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) is ensuring chemicals are used safely and managed prudently, what product manufacturers can do to work collaboratively with the retail community, what chemical producers should be looking for from EPA on the new chemicals front, and what retailers look for in products to ensure sustainability. B&C was a proud silver sponsor of Product Stewardship 2018.
