Bergeson & Campbell, P.C. affiliate The Acta Group (Acta®), a global scientific and business consulting firm offering a full range of support services for the process of obtaining approvals to market industrial chemicals, biocides, and chemical products with offices in Washington, D.C., Beijing, China, and Manchester, UK, has been named to the shortlist of candidates for two Chemicals Northwest 2015 Awards: “Chemical Services Provider Award,” and “Business Improvement Partner Award.” The Chemicals Northwest Awards are presented in eleven categories, all of which recognize excellence in the chemical and chemical service sector in the Northwest of England, the UK’s chemical industry hub.
Acta’s work finding pathways of Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) compliance for challenging chemical approval matters has earned the firm a place on the shortlist for these two awards. Acta assists companies with complex compliance issues under multiple regulatory schemes, including North American, European Union (EU), South American, Asian, and Pacific Rim regulatory programs. The professionals in the Manchester-based Acta EU are particularly adept at managing product approval, product review, and general compliance measures under REACH, and have accomplished many successful REACH registration dossier submissions, which include lead registrations and joint registrations for hundreds of clients since REACH was instituted. The Acta team was recently recognized by the American Bar Association, who enlisted them to co-author the just-published “Global Chemical Control Handbook: A Guide to Chemical Management Programs,” with their colleagues at the law firm of Bergeson & Campbell, P.C.
Chemicals Northwest is an industry-led chemical cluster support organization affiliated with the Chemical Industries Association. Acta EU is part of the global consulting firm The Acta Group (Acta®), which has offices in Europe, North America, and Asia. The 2015 Chemicals Northwest Awards dinner will be held March 19, 2015, at the Hilton, Manchester Deansgate, and hosted by news presenter Lucy Meacock. Sponsors of the awards include Solvay, ABB, Siemens, FMC Corporations, the UK Trade and Investment office, and the Chemical Industries Association.
