Karin F. Baron, MSPH, and Richard E. Engler, Ph.D., to Speak at SCHC’s Annual Meeting

Baron, MSPH, Director of Hazard Communication and International Registration Strategy, and Richard E. Engler, Ph.D., Director of Chemistry, will present the full-day Regulatory Jurisdiction Workshop on October 2, 2023, an intermediate course where participants will gain a clearer understanding of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), and the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) in action; acquire better awareness of how different activities and product claims shift regulatory jurisdiction; and learn strategies to ensure compliance, and how to respond to regulatory authorities. Participants will also gain a better understanding on the information provided in Safety Data Sheets and labels and how it relates to potential pitfalls in compliance.

Ms. Baron will also present “The European Commission Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability and Its Impacts on CLP” on October 4, 2023, and will discuss:
